Hey all,

Just a quick post to say that I just got an email from Ubisoft saying that I had been given access to the Technical Alpha for The Division 2. I don't remember if I specifically applied for this or not, so it was pretty out of the blue. The Technical Alpha starts today and lasts until 10am on 18th December.

Obviously it is under NDA, but check your email to see if there is anything waiting there for you. This is definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.

I have been checking out more vids on Division 2.

I think they are hitting a lot of the right buttons when it comes to gameplay.
I am concerned about their monetization though. They still have payable storage space, which is ridiculous, and they have replied to questions about lootboxes with 'can't comment', which screams to me; "They are there we just dont want to show it before reviews have been out."

The lootboxes from Division (1) where cosmetics only, so if it is the same it wouldn't bother me to much, but would be nice if they were just straight about it :)

Beta for Division 2 will run from Feb 7th til Feb 11th, 9am GMT.
You need to pre-order to ensure access, or you can sign-up here and get a chance at beta access.

I will be away february 8th until 11th, so if I get access I will only be available for the first night

I'll be there on the 7th. I've had access to all the previous betas, so I should get into this one too

Having been a little disappointed in Anthem so far (although I still feel it's a game to watch), I am hoping that The Division 2 will be every bit as good as the first game, and more. I think having the chance to reset from what they learned in the first game is a great opportunity, and from what I've read about the talent and specialisation changes my hopes are high. Ubisoft did a great job with The Division during its development, and assuming they don't mess everything up with the pre-order / loot box situations, it should be all systems go.

Of course we will know more following the upcoming Betas - it will be interesting to hear a wider feedback from the players. The Private Beta runs from 7th February until the 11th, and if you haven't already done so then sign up here.

As you can see from the above image, the beta is pretty generous and gives you a good snapshot of the overall game including early missions, PvP modes and even some endgame content. If you are at all interested in this game, try to check it out or at least watch some streams!

The Division 2 will also include 8 player raids for the first time. This is very exciting, as apart from a few casual games over the past couple of years we haven't really had the opportunity to do anything in a group larger than 4 or at most 6. Of course noone knows what the quality of these raids will be like, but again Ubisoft did a good job listening to player feedback in the first game so I would hope that these will eventually hit the mark.

So as you can see, I am quite hopeful for this game not just for myself, but I would love it if we could establish a couple of Cyrus Squads that can eventually come together and complete these raids. Apart from Anthem, there really isn't a lot on the horizon at the moment, and this game is a good RPG looter shooter that you can sink a lot of hours into.

If you would like to join a Cyrus squad for The Division 2, please reply to this thread so that we know whether we'll need to recruit additional members to fill spaces. But before you do, bear this in mind:

1. I do not want players who are going to rush ahead of their group and solo the content. There is around 40 hours of campaign to go through, and this is hopefully a long-term game. I do not want other members levelling experiences lessened by having overpowered characters in the group. Therefore If you don't have the patience to play at the pace of your group and want to solo it, you can level a separate character solo - however if you subsequently burn out on the game and quit, you'll be on my shit list.

2. Make sure you can commit to a group schedule with minimum disruptions. There is nothing worse than having to reschedule because one person thinks it's OK to cancel at the last minute. IT'S NOT OK!!

3. Keep in mind the number of opportunities we've had lately to play as a guild, and treasure this game accordingly!

As you all know, Cyrus is in a very sorry state at the moment. There are no games, and most of you have turned into fucking dullards who check the forum but don't contribute anything. Myself included. There is literally nothing going on. This game, Anthem and any others that may spark some multiplayer activity is like gold dust. But I'm not convinced that most of you even want it. Some of you have been a Cyrus member for many years and can be more excused, but others have joined us well in advance for a potential MMO they wish to play with an active, organised guild, yet they have shown no interest in socialising with the few members still hanging around. If not this, then look for something - anything - to make things around here a little more interesting. Otherwise it may not still be here when you are hoping for it.

PLAY, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

Waiting on my beta access before committing.

Original game was fun and had some amazing gunplay.
Here is hoping they can improve upon the mistakes, mainly PvP and incursions, and make Division 2 a masterpiece.

I enjoyed The Division, so definitely keeping an eye on this. Plus it would be great to play in a group of 8. Destiny was just a little too small.

Unfortunately I am moving this weekend and the next to a new apartment. So I'll be rather swamped by that. however I will keep an eye on everything.

I really hope we manage to get 8 people for this. Like Redh said, it's been so long since we had more than 4/6 people in a group...I don't doubt that it will be a good game.

I cannot send you an invite - it says you already have one. If that means you can only have one of PC and PS4, then maybe create another Ubisoft account just for this beta? Otherwise I assume some other kind soul has sent you an invite already :)

I'd be happy to try the beta if anyone has a key left. It's too early to tell if I can join a group after launch though, if I like the game ofc.

Standard edition of Division 2 preordered for PC, no early access for me. Up for teaming up, but because of work I can't commit to specific days on a regular basis.
