Ladies and Gentlemen, I have some sad news. The relationship between Cyrus and Final Fantasy XIV has ended. It just wasn't meant to be. It is a dead relationship. As flings go, there were fleeting moments of satisfaction, but deep down there was always this sense that she wasn't going to be a keeper. And it's all you, not us...
Group 3 claims to have cleared Turn 4 last week, but as we all know, "No Screenshot? Never happened". After giving them a week to produce their evidence (despite the fact they are walking around in Turn 4 dropped gear), I have no choice but to declare Group 1, yes that would be the group I am in, the first Cyrus group to best Turn 4!
After a few painful raid nights, we have finally managed to best the giant Floating Ball of Coil Turn 2, ADS. This is a fight that can be quite frustrating, and requires the whole team to be focused, work together and communicate, and where one individual mistake can cause a complete raid wipe. Sounds like fun, right?! "Lagspike..."!
Tonight Cyrus entered The Binding Coil of Bahamut. This is the current endgame 8-man raid content which we are planning to start scheduling regularly from next week for all three of our raid groups. The dungeon has a unique look to it, and we had a lot of fun throughout our evening even killing the first boss. Not bad for a PvP guild!
It's been a busy week at Cyrus. Our initial recruitment phase is very nearly complete, with three 8-man raid teams almost set up and ready to go. Members have been grinding hard to gear up for the first real challenge of the game, Titan Hardmode. We set ourselves the challenge of being ready to kill it this week, and kill it we did.
Guild progress has an unfamiliar slowness to it. It's not that members are levelling slowly - It's just that until reasonably late into "endgame" there is no pressing reason to join a stable guild for the uninitiated player. Most of the content up until Titan Hardmode can be completed through the Duty Finder group matching system.
